IIT students innovate 5G technology device to asses air quality technology device



While 4G technology has revolutionized communication across the world, scientists are now working on developing devices based on 5G technology. A conference on 5G technology was organized at IIT Delhi on Thursday, in which all aspects related to this technology were discussed. Students of IIT Delhi have developed a device based on 5G technology to monitor air pollution, which can run on solar power, as well as effectively geo-tagging due to being equipped with a GPS system. The instrument can detect PM 2.5, PM 10, NO2, ozone, carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide levels up to a range of 10 km in urban areas. Apart from this, these students have designed such a smart electricity meter based on 5G technology, in which meter reading and billing work will be done automatically. Also, through this meter you can also find out which appliance in your house is consuming how much electricity. While 4G communication technology is becoming very popular across the world including India, scientists in institutions like IITs are busy developing 5G technology. According to experts, 5G technology can prove to be effective in providing smart city, sanitation and better health facilities to the people. .
