Moving a mirror to catch a fast moving object has been around a hot minute… I watched a film of a tank shell being filmed at a close up angle and wondered how it was possible to move a camera that accurately and while it might should have been obvious I am not a camera/film man but a mirror makes sense.
4:00 those are used to track projectiles through the air in order to study their aerodynamics. Also used to track rocket launches from the ground, where the mirrors allow the camera sensors to be closer to the rocket
