Hi, Kaila. Could please tell about foreign degree holders, are employers biased against them? Does it depend on country when you received the degree from?
Iโm currently going for a major in Economics BA however I was not eligible for a finance major because I wanted to change to finance, however if my grades are better this semester I can apply for a finance minor, what advice would you give if I fail to get a finance minor, but I still have a large passion for doing finance?

I wanted to do nursing, but recently Iโve been more interested in majoring for a career that will actually allow me to learn business and being a entrepreneur. Any advice anyone ? Iโm just sort of lost in which route to take, accounting doesnโt sound fitting so Iโm not really sure or idek if finance and economics is for what Iโm looking for . Long story short I just want to be able to work for myself, I love the idea of a nurse but I wonโt be the happiest living my life knowing I work for someone else

I'm not absolutely amazing at maths, but I am quite great at it and I do enjoy it, but at the same time not the best, would you say going down one of these majors is for me?
From my research Finance seems more technical than an economics degree IMO. A lot of overlap in the jobs you can get with either degree.

you mean economics is more technical than finance? But wherever i have chacked the diff, there is opposite of what you are saying.Most of the sites say, economics is more social science while finance is more practical(technical)

I have the exact same background that you started with. Took Micro and Macro Economics when I was 18 and got A's in it, but didn't fully appreciate it because I was set on finance.
I am wanting to go into banking or possibly investment banking and find that a lot of students at my university here that have similar interests are financial economics majors. I know that I can still get into it with finance, but I was thinking of minoring in economics. What are your thoughts?
